Dear guests! The Black Forest is a paradise for everyone who loves to hike. You can find many beautiful hiking routes, no matter what season. The Köhlerei am See offers the perfect starting point for your hiking holiday in the Black Forest. We have put together a small selection of our most beautiful hiking routes in the southern Black Forest.
Each tour has its own highlights and will inspire you in very different ways. Of course, we will be happy to provide you with even more information about the many different and varied hikes in the Black Forest – Germany’s most beautiful hiking region – directly on site at the Köhlerei am See.
Around the Schluchsee – the winter hiking holiday trail
From the hotel Köhlerei am See you walk about half an hour through the nature of the Black Forest until you arrive at the Schluchsee, where a beautiful path begins and leads you along the lake shore, which has something to offer in every season. Especially in the cold season, a dreamlike winter landscape awaits you here.
In spring and autumn, the paths at Schluchsee also offer good Nordic walking routes. You can also be active on the flat paths with an e-bike.
The Bildstein at Schluchsee – ideal in summer
A good three kilometers away from the Hotel Köhlerei am See is the Bildstein rock at 1134 m. From up here, hikers experience a fantastic view over the landscape of the High Black Forest with its diverse valleys and forests. With a little luck, you can even admire the Alpine panorama. The Bildstein Tour is one of the premium hiking trails in the southern Black Forest – these hiking holiday trails are characterized by being particularly well-maintained and signposted.
In summer, you should definitely not forget your bathing suit on this tour! On the lakeshore there are plenty of opportunities for a pleasant cool down!
The Zweiseenblick – two lake view – Panorama view over Titisee and Schluchsee
Another beautiful hike in the Black Forest and not far from our Hotel Köhlerei am See is the path to the Zweiseenblick and further into the Bärental. From this idyllic spot you can see two Black Forest lakes at once, one of which is Titisee. This hike continues to the Zweiseenblick moor, one of the highest elevated moors in the Black Forest, then continues through the forest with a view of the valley to the Bärental.
After this active hike, the day can be ideally ended in the restaurant of the Köhlerei am See.
The Feldbergsteig – the highest hike in the Black Forest
The Köhlerei am See offers the perfect starting point for an extended hike through the Southern Black Forest Nature Park up to the summit of the Feldberg. Active hikers can expect magnificent views and dreamy narrow paths through beautiful nature. When the weather is nice, you have a view of Mont Blanc and the Zugspitze. You can rest at the beautifully situated Feldsee, which is framed by the dark fir trees of the Black Forest at the foot of the Feldberg in an enchanting area. The hiking trail leads past a large number of typical Black Forest huts, some of which have been in existence for over 300 years.
By the way, if you like, you can have the hiked routes on the Black Forest premium hiking trails entered into your Black Forest hiking passport with a cuckoo clock stamp. For further information to the Wanderstempel click here: www.hochschwarzwald.de/Wandern/wanderpass.
The Black Forest gourmet trail in Bernau – a feast for the eyes
A little further away but easily accessible by car in 15 minutes and by bike in an hour from the Köhlerei am See is another premium hiking trail in the Black Forest – the Genießerpfad Hochtal Steig in the Bernau region. On this hike through the Black Forest, you can expect a 16-kilometer tour across wide fields, through fairytale forests with breathtaking panoramas of the Black Forest National Park and parts of Germany’s low mountain ranges.
