Your room will be available for check-in from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the day of your arrival. On the day of your departure, please check out between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

At the Köhlerei am See, we are here for you every day from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. At the Hotel Schlehdorn, you can reach the front desk by phone from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM; our staff is on site to assist you until 9:00 PM.

Our restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and located at ground level. Please note, however, that the hotel does not have an elevator, so the guest rooms and spa are unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible. There is no accessible restroom. The path to the lake is wheelchair-accessible in certain areas.

Yes, we offer free parking for our hotel and restaurant guests right on the premises. No reservation is required. The parking spaces are not covered by a roof.

You can easily take the train to the Altglashütten-Falkau stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to our location. Alternatively, we’d be happy to arrange a train station pickup through our Hotel Schlehdorn (subject to availability; please inquire at least 48 hours in advance).

Right in front of our patio is a lovely playground with a climbing frame, slide, marble run, and a toy excavator and crane. We do not have any separate play areas for kids inside the house.

Smoking is permitted on our outdoor terrace. Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire interior of the hotel and restaurant.

We’d be happy to! Our restaurant and our light-filled orangery can be booked separately or together as an event venue for your celebrations.

Bikes are available for rent through our partner, Berg-Fichte-Bike. Bikes are picked up at the Hotel Schlehdorn, located 1 km away. We recommend reserving in advance.

Yes, you can choose from various categories, including rooms with idyllic forest views or direct lake views (available as small and large lake-view rooms).

Not all of our rooms have a balcony. Please understand that while we will note your request for a balcony within a given category, we cannot guarantee it.

Due to our idyllic location in the Black Forest and the building’s construction, our rooms do not have air conditioning. However, the fresh Black Forest air usually ensures pleasant temperatures at night, even in summer.

Yes, we serve hot meals all day long from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (and even until 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays).

No, drinks are always charged separately at our restaurant based on consumption.

We don’t have a separate bar, but we warmly invite you to wind down the evening with a drink right here in our restaurant.

Yes, in order to guarantee you a table, we ask our hotel guests to make a dinner reservation in advance.

Our restaurant is open to all guests. There are no exclusive hours reserved solely for hotel guests; everyone is welcome during our regular business hours.

The lake is open to the public and offers a pristine natural setting for all visitors. We do not have a separate, restricted area.

The Köhlerei doesn’t have its own pool. But the lake is right on our doorstep! You can swim here all year round—from refreshing ice-swimming in winter to cooling off in the height of summer.

We don’t carry these items on-site. However, you’ll find plenty of stores selling swimwear and accessories in the nearby towns of Schluchsee and Titisee.

As an overnight guest at the Köhlerei, you can enjoy discounted access to the Day Spa at our Hotel Schlehdorn, located approximately 1 km away, upon prior request—this includes use of the pool and sauna area, including a wellness bag (rental bathrobe/sauna towels), free water and tea in the wellness area, as well as access to the Vital lunch buffet from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

No, the wellness facilities at Köhlerei am See are reserved exclusively for hotel guests staying there.

The prices for certain services included in our packages are based on adult rates. Younger guests are, of course, welcome to use these services, but they will be charged separately.

Our packages are specially priced vacation offers with fixed arrival dates. Therefore, it is not possible to change the arrival date, even for an additional fee.

Extensions are available at any time at the standard room rates. Upgrades to a higher room category are available for an additional fee, subject to availability.

These depend on the rate you booked. Generally, free cancellation is possible between 5 and 21 days before arrival, except for rates specifically marked as “non-cancellable.”
