At Titisee, you can rent a canoe or pedal boat together or take a boat tour (on a leash). For true adventurers, the nearby Wutach Gorge is the ideal place to play, romp, and splash around in a wild and romantic setting.

Are you looking for a place to retreat to for the New Year? As the Köhlerei is in a very quiet location, dogs that are sensitive to noise can spend New Year’s Eve with us in a much more stress-free environment. Our spacious rooms can easily accommodate up to two pets. This makes the transition into the New Year a relaxed experience for both humans and animals, without the usual noise of fireworks.
Dog grooming salon at Köhlerei am See
The Wildpfoten dog grooming salon will soon be opening on the grounds of Köhlerei am See and is currently still under construction. The salon will offer professional and loving coat care for all four-legged friends in the future. Its proximity makes the dog grooming salon particularly attractive for our guests. While the Wildpfoten dog grooming salon takes care of professional grooming, we offer our guests dog-friendly accommodation for a relaxing stay with their dog.

Where is the best place to spend a vacation with your dog?
Very suitable for a holiday with dogs is somewhere close to water. Whether sea or lake – the water provides a welcome cooling sensation for your dog, especially in the hot summer! Our hotel Köhlerei am See is located directly at the Windgfällweiher, where both you and your dog can swim. Is a Black Forest vacation by a lake realistic with a dog? The Black Forest is a perfect region for vacationing with your dog because of its comparatively mild climate and beautiful walking, hiking and biking trails.
How much will my dog cost on vacation?
Your dog or dogs are very welcome here! We charge a flat rate of €17 per night per dog to cover the additional cleaning costs associated with four-legged guests. Otherwise, there are no additional costs for your pet to stay at our hotel. (If rooms/apartments/furniture are heavily soiled with dog hair, we reserve the right to send you a bill for the cleaning costs).
Where can my dog stay in the hotel?
Your dog is of course welcome everywhere in our hotel except in the wellness area. If you are in the wellness area, your four-legged friend may stay alone in your room. In the restaurant, we ask that you make a place for your dog on the floor and not on the bench, chair, or in your lap.
What to take on vacation with a dog?
This question is probably as individual as you and your pet itself. It is best to take everything with you that your dog needs to feel comfortable. Your own drinking bowl, leash, baskets / blanket and his or her favorite toy must certainly not be missing. You should also think of a brush and sunscreen if necessary. If you have forgotten something important, please contact our reception. Our staff knows the region and can recommend where you can get forgotten items.
Does my dog have to be on a leash?
In the hotel, we ask you to keep your dog on a leash out of consideration for other guests. Outside our hotel, there are many meadows and hiking trails where you can let your dog run free, but please observe the rules of the respective location. In nature reserves, you should always keep your dog on a leash.
